Just like many jazz cats and music aficionados I have always been a huge fan of John Coltrane. I am not the one here to talk about what he brought into the world musically but througly inspired by his discipline to music (mastery of instruments, practicing scales, technique, articulation, attitude, etc, etc) both live performances and studio recordings, composed or improvised. After decades of listening to his music I still find something new in his adroit execution of melodic ideas, phrasing, harmonic sense and rhythms.
