Rest In Peace Dorothy Height


Dorothy I. Height was an administrator, educator and activist. She has given leadership to the struggle for equality for all people and played a key role in the civil rights movement as the longtime head of the National Council of Negro Women.

"If the time is not ripe, we have to ripen the time."

May she rest in peace.

Lil' Bobby Hutton Day


The 12th Annual Lil' Bobby Hutton Day today at the West Oakland Public Library. Family, friends and former Panthers will get together for Lil' Bobby Hutton Day in honor of the 17-year-old Black Panther murdered by Oakland police in 1968.
